Whenever I thought of them, the Pattersons always felt like they were a part of my family. So that's that. No longer will I be able to share and delight in all of the Pattersons' hopes and dreams. This depressed me, to say the least. "Oh well," I thought to myself after a few minutes. "Sure, it's the end of an era, but it's NOT the end of the world. After all, they're not the only syndicated comic strip family around. I'm sure the others are just as fun and exciting to read."
